Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes –
One word; delicious! This is a great side to any meal, especially a special occasion. I love making this dish when I make a roasted chicken or turkey because the oven is at the same temperature and they roast for about an hour. This dish will impress anyone and it is incredibly easy, not to mention healthy… Get the Recipe Here

This recipe came together in minutes and is such a keeper. This is like a fancy version of everyone’s favourite diner potato hash but the labour is minimal and by roasting it, the hash develops incredible flavour and textures as the veggies caramelize… Get the Recipe Here

I love this recipe because the potatoes actually taste like French fries, mmmm, French fries, and yes you can barbecue on Thanksgiving! Over the years I’ve definitely learned to utilize any and all appliances!… Get the Recipe Here

Sweet Potato Wedges –
Over the course of my time blogging I have made a few – nay, quite a few confessions. Well, here’s another one: I don’t like sweet potatoes (yams) and this time I can’t really blame my mother (I can already hear her screaming ‘Ya-hoo’). Anyway Mike loves sweet potatoes so in a compromise since he eats tomatoes (he despises tomatoes), I’m trying to find a way to enjoy this healthy starch. This recipe is actually good! The extra sugar in the sweet potato caramelizes amazingly and the Rosemary works as a perfect savoury partner. I’m definitely making this recipe again 😉… Get the Recipe Here
-
Garlic Mashed Potatoes –
Did I mention yet that this recipe is almost fat free? Yup! The only fat comes from the milk. The flavour of this dish is incredible, you get the soft echo of the garlic without the intensity… Get the Recipe Here

Rosemary and Garlic Roasted Potatoes –
These are the potatoes I like to serve with Roast Beef but they’re awesome with turkey. I will never advocate cutting starches from your diet entirely but I will stress moderation and portion control. Try to focus on lean protein and fresh veggies but remember your brain runs off carbs!!!… Get the Recipe Here

Slow-Cooker Roasted Potatoes –
We have had the weirdest autumn so far in southern Ontario because really, it feels like August. However, there were days that felt appropriate to bust out my crockpot and bust out I did! Slow-Cooker Scalloped Potatoes –
So far autumn feels like summer (not that I’m complaining) but the other day it almost felt like sweater season. Almost. So I pounced. I’m all over healthy eating and staying fit but there’s something so tempting about hiding away in an over-sized sweater; am I alone here?… Get the Recipe Here

Layered Vegetable Bake with Fresh Thyme –
I was at a complete loss as to what to call this. Not only could I not decide what it is, I couldn’t decide on it’s ethnicity; I considered it French but my mother considered it Italian. Whatever the name, whatever the ethnicity, it’s delicious. This comes together easily and presents impressively. Don’t skip parboiling the potatoes otherwise they’ll end up under cooked and crunchy… Get the Recipe Here

French Fries
– That’s right, I said French fries! I haven’t had a “real” French fry since February 2006. I have sworn off all deep fried foods, as a personal preference. Home Style Potato Wedges –
These wedges are reminiscent of the ones you got at a chip wagon when you were little. They have the really crispy crunchy dark edges that usually spell grease, usually! The key to getting the yummy edges is roughly scraping the baking sheet with a spatula half way through the wedges baking. Instead of flipping them gently like other recipes, you want to run the spatula along the edges and pan, like scraping paint… Get the Recipe Here
