Christmas 2024 🎄
Time really does go by fast. We’ve been in our “new” house now, for over five years.  And we’ve been hosting Christmas for over five years. We’ve always done our own little family tradition, but now we’ve expanded with Mike’s family and my family, with our family and my sister‘s family, altogether.
So here is the menu, with the recipes, that I plan to serve this year. I hope you find some inspiration! Check out all the recipes to look for tips and tricks, for time saving help.  As well, there are tips for cutting down on fat and carbs, because even though it’s the holidays, we don’t necessarily want to need all new pants for the new year!
Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it. This is my Christmas menu but feel free to use this for any special occasion of your choosing.
Thanks for checking it out and, I hope you like it 🙂
To start:
Its an internal debate between:
Garlic and Herb Steamed Mussels
with…
Crusty Bread
(But I might cheat and go with store-bought!)
OR
Beer Cheese Fondue
I know its bread-heavy, but we usually have our starters before we do presents, then we sit down to dinner after that 🎄
The Main
Sous Vide Pork Tenderloin
served with
Cheesy Mashed Potato Casserole
and
Green Pea Purée
and
A green salad with my….
Red Wine Shallot Vinaigrette with Honey
and
Mushroom Gravy
(to go on the pork tenderloin)
🎄
As for dessert, Mike’s mother’s birthday is on Christmas Day so we’ll get her a yummy birthday cake.  I’m thinking Black Forest cake because she loves maraschino cherries.
