Buttermilk Ranch Bean Dip

The holiday season is officially here.  What does that mean you ask?  Well, gluttony.  I’m sorry but it’s true.   Don’t panic!  I’m here for you.  Here I present a low fat, high fibre, high protein dip that tastes pure decadent.  This is healthy but so delicious that no one will notice their pants aren’t tightening 😛

Makes about 4 cups

540 ml can Romano Beans

540 ml chick peas

3/4 Cup (1%) buttermilk

1/4 Cup fat free sour cream

3 Green onions, peeled

2 tbsp fresh dill (or 2 tsp dried)

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

The juice of 1/2 a lemon

Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blend, mix until smooth.

Taste and adjust seasoning.

Refrigerate until serving.

A recipe for Buttermilk Ranch Bean Dip; a medley of beans pureed with the flavours of your favourite ranch dressing 🙂
