Honey Garlic Salmon
Here I present my recipe for Honey Garlic Salmon…. a recipe for butter poached salmon fillets coated in a caramelized honey Garlic sauce, ready in 10 minutes 🙂
Does your family sound anything like mine does?
My son loves beef, doesn’t like chicken.
My daughter loves chicken, doesn’t like beef.
No one, except me likes fish.
I love Fish
This is why in my pictures below there is one solitary salmon fillet even though my recipe calls for 4 fillets.
I’m the only one who will eat it.
Mike and our son had..
Steak
Our daughter had…
Chicken
Yes, correct, in order to enjoying a piece of fish, two other proteins were prepared!
My mother says I’m nuts but I feel bad making my family something I know they don’t like.
The Rule
My rule when I’m making something new is that it all has to be eaten. However if you don’t like it, you’ll never have to eat it again (I hate wasting food).
I think it’s fair.
Back to my salmon
I used Honey Garlic BBQ sauce (thus the name 🤣) but you can switch up the sauce and the seasonings to make it your own.
This is how you make Honey Garlic Salmon
Add the butter to a frying pan and set the heat to medium.
Once the butter has melted, add in the salmon (skin-side down if yours has it); season with the salt, pepper and Steak seasoning.
Cook for 4-5 minutes until you see the salmon is cooked halfway through.
Add the bbq sauce then flip the salmon sauce-side down.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes then turn the salmon back up.
Transfer to a plate and enjoy 🙂
