The onions bake down as the chicken bakes leaving you with a decadent main ready in about 30 minutes.
This is how you make it
Lay the onion across a casserole dish in an even layer.
Put the chicken breasts on a plate and pour half the bbq sauce on them.
Smooth the sauce into an even layer then season it with salt and pepper.
Lay the chicken breasts sauce side down on top of the onion.
Repeat the sauce and seasoning on the chicken breasts.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Ingredients
1 Medium onion, sliced into sticks
4 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 Cup bbq sauce (your favourite)
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375
Lay the onion across a casserole dish in an even layer.
Put the chicken breasts on a plate and pour half the bbq sauce on them.
Smooth the sauce into an even layer then season it with salt and pepper.

Notes
- Bone-in chicken will work too just cook it longer, about 45-minutes
