Greek Pork Chops

I’ve made a huge change in my life; I’ve started eating pork.  Pork is leaner than chicken and is actually quite delicious.  I’m working in baby steps.  Slowly but surely you’ll see more pork recipes on LisaGCook.com, I hope you like them as much as I do 😊

Serves 4

4-6 Boneless pork loin centre cut chops

½ -1 tsp salt

¼ – ½ tsp pepper

2-3 tsp dried oregano

½ Lemon

Either set your bbq to medium-high heat or your frying pan; season one side of the pork chops with half the amount of salt, pepper and oregano (to taste), place the seasoned side down on the heat.

Season the second side of the meat (facing up) with the remaining seasoning (again, to taste).

Cook the meat for 2-3 minutes and then flip it over and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until cooked through.

Now, technically you can cook pork a little under well because the bacteria that used to exist has been removed by health controls in the production of pork. With that said, I personally cook the meat through completely like I do chicken. Feel free to research this for yourself with your own local government recommendations.

As soon as the meat comes off the heat, squeeze the lemon juice on to the chops evenly.

Serve immediately.

Notes:

  1. A shout out to Mary K, thank you for teaching me about all things yummy and Greek 🙂
