

Poutine
Low fat poutine? You don’t believe me, do you?
Serves 4
1 Batch of the french fries
1-2 Cups of the fat free gravy (depending on how much gravy you like)
½ Cup shredded low fat or part skim mozzarella cheese; or any cheese of your choosing
Salt
Pepper (optional)
– Make the french fries according to recipe instructions.
– Make the gravy according to recipe instructions.
– When the fries are done, place half of the fries on a plate in an even layer.
– Top with 1/3 of the cheese.
– Then top the cheese with 1/3 of the gravy.
– Top the gravy with the remainder of the fries.
– Then top the fries with the rest of the cheese.
– Top with the rest of the gravy.
– Taste and adjust seasoning.
– Serve Immediately.
Notes:
- Try different cheeses here; low fat goat cheese is so good!
- You can experiment with spices here as well; in restaurants its popular to season fries with cajun spices or cayenne pepper.
- This recipe is made for 4 people but Mike will eat the entire plate to himself!!!
