A healthy recipe for the naturally buttery scallops prepared simply with garlic, lemon and butter, then roasted to perfection. Â This will be a welcomed dish for any and all occasions.
Ingredients
12 Medium scallops (clean and dry)
2 tbsp salted butter
The juice of half a lemon
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
Garlic powder (to taste)
Sweet paprika (to taste)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425
Lay the clean scallops evenly in an oven safe casserole dish.
Squeeze the lemon juice evenly over the scallops.
Season the scallops (to your preference) with each of the salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
Add the butter in chunks evenly around the the scallops.
Bake for 9 minutes and then flip the scallops.
Again, season the scallops to taste with the salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
Return the scallops to oven for 9 minutes.
Serve immediately with crusty bread.
Notes
- You can tell the scallop is cooked when the middle is opaque and is slightly warm.
- Â I only squeezed lemon juice once on the scallops.
- Â Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your preference.
