Description

When any of my recipes call for grilled pork this is the recipe to go to! Like I’ve stated previously, grilling takes patience and practice but once you get the hang of it you are unbeatable!

Ingredients

Scale

453 g (1 lb) boneless pork loin centre cut chops, 4 – 6 chops

1–2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1–2 tsp Montreal Steak seasoning

Instructions

Brush or coat the pork evenly on both sides with extra virgin olive oil.

Then season the meat liberally with Montreal Steak seasoning (you can find it at the regular grocery store).

Whether I am using a BBQ, indoor grill or frying pan, I like to have the heat on the appliance on medium high.

The most important part of grilling any protein is that once you put it on the heat, don’t touch it!

A good habit to get into is to time how long you cook the meat on each side. Depending on the size of the chops your cooking time is going to vary. A good rule of thumb is to grill one side for 4-5 minutes and the second side for 3-4 minutes (the second side doesn’t need as much time).

To get the awesome grill marks rotate the meat 45 degrees half way through the cooking time on each side.

Let the meat rest at least 5 minutes before cutting it.

Notes

  1. You can use any seasoning of your choice in place of the Montreal Steak spice.
  2. Pork is cooked when it hits an internal temp of 160 (or medium)
  3. Bone-in chops take longer to cook.
