Louisiana Chicken Pasta

Here I present my recipe for Louisiana Chicken Pasta, read on to learn how you make it!

I’ve been pretty preoccupied with Copycat recipes as of late.  I attribute it to many factors;

Pinterest

I read Pinterest the same way I do the morning newspaper and I find a lot of inspiration there.

Covid

I’m a proud Canadian girl 🇨🇦

As such, Canada isn’t home to as many restaurant chains as the United States.  Normally I travel to the U.S. at least twice a year but covid has made travel, exceptionally unattractive.  As such, rather than travel to my neighbour’s outstanding land, I google the menus of their great chains 🙂

Honestly,  I love reading menus.

Enter Cheesecake Factory

Cheesecake Factory copycat recipes are all over Pinterest!  I don’t even think I’ve ever been to a Cheesecake Factory restaurant before!

I kept seeing recipes for Louisiana Chicken Pasta, I’m pretty sure its actual chicken Milanese  but the pictures I’ve seen actually. look like chicken fingers.

Maybe this is the grown up version of the telephone game.

Here I present my recipe for Louisiana Chicken Pasta, a copycat rendition of telephone tag 🙂

This is how you make it

Add the butter to a large pan and set the temperature to medium high.

When the butter has melted, add in the veggies and season with salt and pepper.

Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package Directions.

Once the veggies are cooked through and slightly charred, add in the garlic; mix well.

After about 30 seconds, add in the Alfredo Sauce.

Add the reserved pasta water to the jar, put the lid on it and gently shake the jar to release any Alfredo residue, then add it to the pan.

The pasta should be cooked around now, so drain it and set it aside.

Add the cajun seasoning to the pan.

Mix well.

Add in the cooked pasta; mix well.

Let everything simmer on low heat for 2 minutes.

Top with some parmesan cheese.

Top with the Sliced chicken fingers.

Serve with more Parmesan cheese!!!

Enjoy!

Notes

  1. The chicken fingers can be made ahead of time.
  2. Be careful when you swish the pasta water in the jar, if you shake it too hard the steam may cause the hot liquid to explode on you.
