Instant Pot Ribs

Fall.  Off.  The.  Bone.  Ribs.  In. Under. An.  Hour.

Yup.

Fall off the bone ribs in under an hour.

[4]

The pieces actually tore in half when I was transferring the meat to the baking sheet to add the BBQ sauce.

Mike’s never been the most vocal person but when I asked him if he liked the recipe he didn’t stop eating the ribs when he said “they’re good”.   In case you’re unaware, that’s a 5 star review in Mike   ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Description

Fall.  Off.  The.  Bone.  Ribs.  In. Under. An.  Hour. Yup. Fall off the bone ribs in under an hour. Thank you Instant Pot! Enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale

2 tbsp Sweet Paprika

1 tbsp Brown sugar

2 tsp Mustard powder

2 tsp Salt

1 tsp Chili powder

1 tsp Cumin

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 tsp Onion powder

1 tsp Pepper

1/2 tsp celery salt

2.5 kg/5 lb Pork Ribs (2 Large racks)

1 Cup water

BBQ sauce, to taste (optional)

Instructions

Mix together the sweet paprika, brown sugar, mustard powder salt, Chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and celery salt.

Cut the ribs into thirds.

Evenly (and liberally) distribute the seasoning all over the ribs; on both sides.

Pour the water into the pot and then add in the ribs; stack them on their side (so bones are down and facing up).

Lock the Instant Pot [8] lid in place, ensure the valve is set to sealing and then set the pot to manual for 45 minutes.

Do a quick release.

If you’re going to use BBQ sauce then preheat your broiler to high and transfer the ribs (carefully because they fall apart!) to a baking sheet.

Pour the desired amount of sauce onto the ribs and place them under the broiler until the sauce starts to bubble (1-2 minutes).

Serve immediately.

Notes

  1. You can skip the BBQ sauce, the spice rub has tons of flavour.
